NEW NAME AND RECIPES I LOVED

As you may have noticed, I have been making a few changes to my blog lately to steer it in a new direction. This has a few reasons, the most important being that my time in Lyon is slowly coming to an end and I will move back to Austria some time in May. I have come to really enjoy blogging during my time in Lyon and am eager to continue. But only writing about the town I currently live in isn't really enough for me, I also want to share my travels, experiments in the kitchen and my attempts to live more consciously with you.

BOULANGERIES

Responding to Susanne's comment on finding THE bakery in a city, I realised I haven't found THE bakery in Lyon. Despite or because there is literally a bakery on every corner. We are in France after all.

We all know the clichés about French people and bread: Men with moustaches, wearing a striped T-shirt and a beret carrying a baguette under their arm.

A DAY IN MARSEILLE

Who knew that summer was this close? Once again catching a (painfully) early train, I got to experience a wonderfully sunny summer day ... only two hours ride from Lyon.
The train journey already rewards us for getting up in the dark morning hours; we move through the flowing landscapes of the Provence softened by layers of mist. Then the sun begins to rise, tinting the mist the most beautiful shades of orange and rose . Moments like these can really only be enjoyed right there, as they are so fleeting, so difficult to capture, especially from a high speed train.
